Staining Your Deck?
Discover the beauty and durability of a freshly stained wooden deck. The smooth, uniform finish and rich colour can transform your outdoor space, but the benefits of staining go beyond aesthetics. Staining is a crucial step in protecting your timber from the inside out.

The process of cleaning and staining your deck not only enhances its appearance but also serves as a shield against moss, mildew, warping, and extends the lifespan of the wood. Staining may seem like a daunting task, but it's actually a relatively straightforward DIY project. By taking your time and choosing the right products, you can achieve a stunning, professional result that maximises the beauty and longevity of your outdoor decking.

Shake TIMBER CLEAN & PREP concentrate thoroughly.
Mix 1 part TIMBER CLEAN & PREP to 4 parts water in a plastic container.

Using clean water, wet the timber area.
-
Begin lightly scrubbing boards after waiting 10-15 minutes.

Using a stiff bristle broom/brush apply the TIMBER CLEAN & PREP mixture generously to the timber surface in sections, ideally along the full length of each piece of timber. Scrub the timber vigorously to ensure good “foaming” of the mixture.
-
Leave the mixture on the timber surface for approximately 15 min. During this time, it may be necessary to apply more mixture to ensure the surface is kept wet.
-
Rinse off the timber surface thoroughly using a low-medium pressure wash down.
-
Allow the timber surface to dry before applying the coating.
-
Inspect for any missed spots. Repeat cleaning in small areas if necessary.

-
Two coats are recommended to give greater durability and protection to the timber.
